An update on the Swindon and Cricklade Railway based steam locomotive No. 6695

Last week, Ex-GWR 0-6-2T No 6695, which is based at the Swindon and Cricklade Railway, passed its boiler test and performed its first under-powered movements since 2015.

Over the next few weeks, the 6695 is expected to undergo its final touches to reintroduce it to traffic.

Load testing will take place on September 24 and 25, 2022 and the public is encouraged to view the locomotive and take a ride behind the locomotive at selected intervals.

An official launch should take place in 2023.
