Class 40 and Britannia steam locomotive to take part in Lancaster to Bristol tour

BR Class 40 No D213 Andania and BR Britannia No 70000 ‘Britannia’ will run the Bristol Forty Tour this Tuesday 13th September 2022.

The tour departs from Lancaster behind the D213 at 06:00 and will pass through Preston (06:24), Wigan North Western (06:45), Warrington Bank Quay (06:59), Crewe (07:41), Stafford (08:00). 34), Penkridge (8:54 a.m.), Birmingham New Street (9:44 a.m.), Cheltenham Spa (11:03 a.m.), Yate (11:37 a.m.), Filton Abbey Wood (11:47 a.m.) and Bristol Temple Meads at 11:55 a.m.

After a stop in Bristol and changing locomotives around 70000 Britannia, the tour will depart Bristol Temple Meads at 3.06pm and travel via Bristol Parkway (3.20pm), Bromsgrove (5.12pm), Walsall (7.11pm), Penkridge (7.50pm), Stafford (7.57pm ) and Crewe at 8:54 p.m.

Here, D213 takes the train back. Departing Crewe at 9.26pm, the D213 will return to Lancaster via Warrington Bank Quay (9.48pm), Wigan North Western (10.04pm), Preston (10.31pm) and Lancaster at 11.10pm.
