Rajendra Prasad becomes Managing Director of National High Speed Rail Corporation
New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Principal Technocrat and Officer of Indian Rail Services for Engineers Rajendra Prasad from 1986 assumed the position of Managing Director, National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) effective July 7, 2022 in addition to his current duties as Director (Project ) at NHSRCL.
Prasad has been working as a (Project) Manager with NHSRCL since November 2017 and is overall responsible for the civil works of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Project, popularly known as the High Speed Rail Project.
As Director (Project), NHSRCL, he led civil works of MAHSR section in Gujarat State i.e. 352 km including award of largest contract for unique infrastructure of the country including a 237 km long viaduct and 4 stations.
He worked as Divisional Director of Railways, Chakradharpur (February 2015 – May 2017), Group Managing Director, DFCCIL (December 2011 – February 2015), Chief Engineer, Construction Southern Railways (June 2006 – April 2009) and Engineer Resident, General Consultants for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (February 1999 – February 2004).
The Board of Railways (Ministry of Railways) recently terminated the services of Satish Agnihotri who was the Managing Director of NHSRCL and handed over his charge to Mr. Prasad for a period of three months or until his appointment. a new CEO, whichever comes first.
