Scots Guardsman steam locomotive 46115 will pass through Oxenholme Lake District this Saturday

46115 Scots Guardsman is due to carry the Cumbrian Mountain Express this weekend.

On July 16, 2022, 46115 is expected to carry the Carnforth – Carlisle – Preston section.

The tour will depart Crewe at 07.44am and pass through Runcorn (08.09am), Liverpool Lime Street (08.46am), Broad Green (09.18am), St Helens Central (09.33am), Wigan North Western (09.52am), Preston (10.14am), Lancaster (10.35am) ) and Carnforth North Junction at 10.43am.

From there, 46115 is added to the train. Leaving at 11.26am, the train will pass through Oxenholme Lake District (11.41am), Penrith North Lakes (12.20pm) and Carlisle at 12.42pm.

After the hour in Carlisle, the train will leave at 2:22 p.m. and pass through Appleby (3:05 p.m.), Garsdale (3:43 p.m.), Hellifield (4:14 p.m.), Clitheroe (5:01 p.m.), Blackburn (5:26 p.m.), Preston (6:05 p.m. – diesel transported from here), Wigan North Western (6.56pm), St Helens Central (7.28pm), Roby (7.47pm), Broad Green (7.59pm), Liverpool Lime Street (8.12pm), Runcorn (8.40pm) and Crewe at 9.09pm.
