Steam locomotive 34046 Braunton and 70000 Britannia will take part in the London to Oxenholme Lake District tour

70000 Britannia is due to visit Oxenholme Lake District this Tuesday, September 27, taking passengers to the Lake District as part of a Steam Dreams holiday.

Departing London Victoria behind 34046 Braunton at 08:00, the tour will pass through Shepherds Bush (08:18), Wembley Central (09:02), Hemel Hempstead (09:19), Milton Keynes Central (09:50), Rugby (10:26), Lichfield Trent Valley ( 11:22 a.m.), Stafford (11:41 a.m.) and Crewe at 12:15 p.m., where 70000 Britannia takes over.

With 70,000 Britannias now on the train, the tour will depart at 1.02pm and pass through Warrington Bank Quay (1.40pm), Leyland (2.06pm), Blackburn (2.40pm), Clitheroe (3.11pm), Hellifield (4.06pm), Settle (4.31pm), Garsdale ( 5:05 p.m.), Appleby (5:28 p.m.), Armathwaite (6:17 p.m.), Penrith North Lakes (7:24 p.m.) and Oxenholme Lake District at 7:54 p.m.

Once passengers are en route to the Lake District, the train will return to Crewe via Lancaster (8.21pm), Preston (9.27pm), Wigan North Western (10.13pm), Acton Bridge (10.52pm), and Crewe at 11.20pm.
