Steam locomotive 45212 will tour the Cumbrian coast this Thursday

LMS Black 5 #45212 will carry the Northern Belle Tour to Carlisle this Thursday (November 10).

This tour is usually routed via the Settle and Carlisle line, however due to a train derailment in Carlisle the tour will be routed via the Cumbrian Coast Line.

Departing Coventry behind diesel locomotives at 07.33am, the tour will pass through Birmingham International (07.44am), Wolverhampton (08.35am), Stafford (09.04am), Crewe (09.31am), Preston (10.24am) and Carlisle at 11.46am.

After the time in Carlisle and 45212 now attached, the tour will depart at 1:33 p.m. 45212 will pass through Maryport (2.14pm), Whitehaven (2.46pm), St Bees (2.57pm), Sellafield (3.11pm), Barrow-in-Furness (4.20pm), Grange-over-Sands (4.51pm), and Carnforth South Junction at 5.08pm, where 45212 is exchanged for diesel locomotives.

The tour will return to Coventry via Preston (6.13pm), Crewe (7.24pm), Stafford (7.55pm), Wolverhampton (8.23pm), Birmingham International (9.02pm) and Coventry at 9.25pm.
