Steam locomotive 46100 Royal Scot will visit York and Scarborough this Wednesday

LMS ‘Scot’ No. 46100 ‘Royal Scot’ will pass through York this Wednesday (11 May 2022) on a special Scarborough run.

The Scotsman will tour Crewe to Scarborough, taking over from the diesels at Liverpool Lime Street.

Leaving Crewe at 06.40am behind a diesel locomotive, the train will pass through Winsford (06.51am), Acton Bridge (07.01am), Runcorn (07.12am), Liverpool South Parkway (07.28am), Edge Hill (07.44am) and LiverpooL Lime Street at 07.47am.

With 46100 Royal Scot attached, the train will depart at 07.57 and pass through Huyton (08.18), Newton-le-Willows (08.39), Eccles (08.58), Salford Central (09.10), Manchester Victoria (09.18), Guide Bridge ( 09:51), Edale (10:58), Grindleford (11:09), Sheffield (11:27), Swinton (11:47), Church Fenton (12:44), York (12:59), Malton (1:28) and Scarborough at 1:57 p.m.

After a break in Scarborough, the train will depart at 4.43pm and pass through Seamer (4.50pm), York (5.46pm), Church Fenton (6.04pm), Wakefield Kirkgate (6.35pm), Hebden Bridge (7.45pm), Todmorden (7.55pm), Rochdale (8.05pm) ), Manchester Victoria (8:50 p.m.), Eccles (9:05 p.m.), Newton-le-Willows (9:17 p.m.), Rainhill (9:31 p.m.), Edge Hill (9:54 p.m.), Liverpool Lime Street (9:58 p.m. – Diesel transported from here), Liverpool South Parkway (10:20 p.m.), Runcorn (10:43 p.m.), Hartford (11:26 p.m.) and Crewe at 11:46 p.m.
