Steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will leave York this Saturday with a visit to Newcastle

6233 Duchess of Sutherland is about to be back on track, this time carrying a tour to Newcastle.

The tour starts at Tyseley with a diesel locomotive. Departing Tyseley Steam Trust at 07.54am, the tour will pass through Coleshill Parkway (08.21am), Tamworth (08.50am), Burton-on-Trent (09.08am). Derby (9.48am), Chesterfield (10.38am), Church Fenton (11.53am) and York at 12.10pm.

Here, 6233 Duchess of Sutherland takes over. Departing at 12.48pm, the steam locomotive will pass through Thirsk (1.20pm), Northallerton (1.30pm), Darlington (1.45pm), Durham (2.08pm) and Newcastle at 2.28pm.

After a few hours in Newcastle, steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will leave at 5.12 p.m. and pass through Darlington (6.03 p.m.), York (7.07 p.m.), Moorthorpe (8.38 p.m.), Chesterfield (9.18 p.m.), Derby (10.02 p.m.), Burton-on-Trent (10:46 p.m.), Tamworth (11:00 p.m.), Coleshill Parkway (11:21 p.m.) and Tyseley Steam Trust at 11:57 p.m.
