Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle will visit Cardiff from Birmingham this Saturday

Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle will return to the main line on a tour to Cardiff Central this Saturday 11th June 2022.

Departing Birmingham Snow Hill at 08:03, the train will pass through Tyseley (08:14), Widney Manor (08:27), Leamington Spa (08:50), Banbury (09:14), Oxford (09:51), Swindon (11:11), Bristol Parkway (11:47) , Severn Tunnel Junction (12.05pm), Newport (12.47pm) and Cardiff Central at 1.15pm.

Note: Between Maindee Junction and Cardiff Central the tour will be diesel operated, with 7029 Clun Castle at the rear. This means it will pass through Newport and Cardiff Central with the diesel locomotive leading.

After 4 hours in Cardiff, 7029 Clun Castle will leave Cardiff Central at 5:19 p.m. and pass through Newport (5:36 p.m.), Patchway (6:12 p.m.), Swindon (6:52 p.m.), Oxford (8:02 p.m.), Banbury (8:29 p.m.), Hatton (9:48 p.m.), Widney Manor (10:00 p.m.), Tyseley (10:12 p.m.) and Birmingham Snow Hill (10:35 p.m.).
