The Tornado steam locomotive will leave Edinburgh and Dundee this Thursday

Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado will be on the main line this Thursday September 2 heading to Aberdeen.

Tornado pulls the Aberdonian this Thursday.

Departing Edinburgh at 9.41am, the train will pass through Haymarket (9.44am), Burntisland (10.13am), Perth (11.10am), Invergowrie (11.37am), Dundee (11.56am), Carnoustie (12.28pm), Montrose (12.54pm), Stonehaven (1:24 p.m.) and Aberdeen (1:47 p.m.).

The return journey will see Tornado depart at 5.00pm, and will then pass through Montrose (5.49pm), Carnoustie (6.14pm), Dundee (6.30pm), Perth (7.07pm), Dunblane (8.13pm), Stirling (8.21pm), Haymarket (9.42pm) and Edinburgh at 9:49 p.m.
